Lame cows continue to be among the three main problems on New Zealand dairy
farms together with mastitis and infertility.
It is possible to have very low lameness in a herd by understanding the causes of
the different foot lesions and by putting into place certain
management practices that will reduce foot wear.
Extra Stamping out Lameness Seminars
Some vets have been asking if we can provide Stamping Out Lameness training at other times of the year. At present there are a few people requiring a seminar before December, so if you wish to join them, contact us and we will arrange a special extra seminar. Go to Seminars above for more information.
Evening Seminars around New Zealand
Neil often gives seminars overseas and round New Zealand. He speaks on all aspects of lameness and particularly on cow behaviour and cow flow. He is available for annual meetings of farmers over the next few months. Contact us for more information. Click below to download a summary of
some of the materials that he presents.
Twice a year the Stamping Out Lameness Seminars are held in Inglewood. These are hands on seminars and are limited to about 8 participants. If you are wanting to become a Healthy Hoof provider this workshop covers all the basics that you will need to know first before doing the Provider Training. The next seminars will be in December 2010. Go to Seminars above for more information. Or Contact us
